• Cleaning: Wash with soap and water and wipe dry to prevent rust. Coat the blade with a solvent or oil to further clean and protect the blade’s edge. This product is not dishwasher safe.
• Maintain the Edge: Strive to keep the cutting edge razor sharp. This can best be accomplished by resharpening the edge after every use, using a coarse grain ceramic rod, whetstone, or any of several sharpening systems.

Just like to let you know that my family has been skinning deer for many years and have been always looking for a knife that would stay sharp and do the job on deer that have had the hide on for several days in cold weather.
