RSO Classic Hunter Knife

THE RON SPOMER “CLASSIC HUNTER” Writer, hunter, photographer, conservationist and aficionado of fine firearms and knives, Ron Spomer, worked with Knives of Alaska in customizing a “Ron Spomer Classic Hunter” knife. Sporting his signature logo, each knife is individually serial numbered – enhancing value and uniqueness, and features a stately olive drab G10 handle – an excellent choice for big-game hunters who demand the finest.

Designed for Performance The Classic Hunter is an expertly crafted 8½” drop-point hunting knife, built for hunters who demand both strength and precision. With its rugged design and cutting-edge steel, this full-tang knife is designed for performance, delivering durability and ease of use in the field.
Precision for Field Dressing
  • Jimping on the Spine: Featuring jimping on the spine, the Classic Hunter provides a secure, controlled grip for your thumb or forefinger, enabling greater accuracy and leverage during field dressing.
  • Ceramic Peened Non-Glare Finish: Blade has a non-glare, ceramic peened finish.

Crafted from Premium MagnaCut Steel
  • Powder Metallurgy Steel by Crucible: The Classic Hunter’s blade is crafted exclusively from MagnaCut steel, a PM (powder metallurgy) steel developed by Crucible Steel Company, specifically engineered for knives. MagnaCut combines advanced edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, setting a new standard in knife performance.
  • Rockwell Hardness Rc 60–63: With our heat-treatment and tempering, MagnaCut achieves a hardness of Rc 60–63. This hardness range maintains a razor-sharp edge while resisting brittleness, making it both sharp and highly durable.
  • Fine Grain Structure with Niobium and Vanadium: The addition of 2% Niobium and 4% Vanadium enhances MagnaCut’s ultra-fine grain structure. This results in a blade that withstands wear, resists chipping, and retains its edge for extended periods, making it ideal for field use.
  • Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: Tested in a 1% saltwater solution for 72 hours with no signs of rusting or staining, MagnaCut’s corrosion resistance ensures that the blade performs reliably even in harsh or wet conditions.

Lightweight and Functional The Classic Hunter’s full tang construction ensures strength and stability for even the toughest tasks. The Classic Hunter with MagnaCut Steel is a top choice for hunters who prioritize edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Combining high-performance steel with practical design features, this knife is built to excel in the field, making it the perfect partner for any outdoor adventure.
